Kid’s Vision and Values
We believe that God designed parents to be the primary spiritual leaders of their children, and that discipleship starts in the home.
New City Kids Ministry exists to partner with parents in the very beginning of the discipleship process with the youngest in our community.
Each week, we strive to provide a safe, engaging atmosphere that partners with parents in the weighty job of helping children discover and follow our Lord Jesus Christ.
We offer ministry to children ages 6 months through 5th grade every week. All children and students will be checked in to receive a security sticker which will match a parent pick up sticker. Our Elementary and Preschool students worship with their families in service until dismissal for class. In these older classes, we aim to come alongside parents in helping our kids grow in their knowledge of God, awareness of their need for him, and amazement at his generous offer of salvation. Infants and toddlers from 6 months to 2 years are welcome to check in upon arrival and head straight to their classroom. We look forward to getting to know you and your family as we follow Jesus together!
Our older kids from 6th grade and on are invited to a monthly “Donuts and Doctrine” class where they take a deeper dive into theological concepts in our church. This class meets at 10am before service on the first Sunday of the month.
Special Needs
We welcome the opportunity to partner with parents in the discipleship of every child here at New City. We have peer buddies that are ready to serve and share the love of Jesus with your child by helping them feel more comfortable in class. Please speak with the Director or a Team Lead if you'd like to learn more.
NURSERY // 6mo - 2yrs
Our nursery team members show babies and toddlers their first impression of God's family. We want church to be a safe place, a comforting place, a place that always points to Jesus no matter how young you are.
preschool // 3-5yrs
Each week, our preschool teaching team seeks to welcome and engage children with the good news of Jesus through our lessons, application activities, memory verse, worship, and prayer. We encourage an inclusive atmosphere where everyone can hear about Jesus!
elementary // 1st - 5th grade
Through interactive games and application activities, our Elementary teaching team desires to foster friendships for our students as we recognize they are young disciples learning together how to follow Jesus in their world. Our curriculum takes kids on a chronological journey through the storyline of Scripture over several years. In each story, we consider the great love of God for us, ultimately fulfilled in Jesus!
